If you have a minute watch this interview with Dr. Susan Johnson. Please know that the research and the concepts presented by Dr. Johnson in this interview are the foundational components of Emotionally Focused Therapy which is the therapy model practiced at Couples Therapy Spokane.
Pre-Marital Therapy: Private assessment, education and guidance for couples planning to marry. This therapy is focused on prevention and enhancing the qualities of the relationship while identifying potential areas of concern.
Couples and Marriage Therapy: At Couples Therapy Spokane only evidence based therapeutic interventions are used for treatment plans. Our therapy protocol and coaching strategies are based on the most current research available in couples therapy including Adult Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and the couples research and healthy relationship principles of Dr. John Gottman.

My boyfriend and I are in our 50’s and planning to marry in Sept. We have both done this before more than once. We are having a few communication issues and I feel like it would be healthy for us to see a therapist to have a mediator to learn boundaries and loving communication. Would we be able to come in for a consultation?
thank you

Bonnie, I am not able to take any new couples. I am just returning to my office after many weeks away due to a family emergency. I am sorry. With Kind Regards,
